My bonsai tree is not very well! Firstly, all the leaves
fell out and now the bark is discolouring. I have watered
it and given it plenty of sunlight - I have also regularly
fed it Baby Bio fertiliser. Nothing seems to work! Help!

I have several black pine, some in pots and others in the ground. The potted trees needles have turned brown in late summer and fallen off leaving the tree barren looking. In spring the buds have come on and produced a new set of neddles. I do not wish to see this happen again.Ground trees are within 30' and never have this problem. Any ideas?

My rose tree has lost all of its leaves. I water it
every other day, and have it under a plant light 8 to 10
hours a day. It's a very small tree the trunk is only 1/4
inch in diameter and the tree is about 5 inches tall. This
my first Bonsai trees, did I kill it or is there still hope
it may come back to life. Any help will be appreciated.

I have a 6 year old Juniper Procumbens "Nana". It is 7 X 11".
I keep it indoors in a northern exposure. Temperatures are about 68 degrees, but colder up against the window. I water the plant
from the bottom, using a pan and filling it about 3/4 of the way up the pot, as was recommended for only 5 to 10 minutes. I have been using Miracle Gro about once a week. I allow it to drain. Lately, because it is becoming so dried out I have been giving it water from the top while it is soaking also. I water it every few days. It came with a small white rocky surface and moss around the trunk.
There are three branches, that branch out all to one side of the trunk. I have had this plant since the end of November, 1996 and it is now the end of February, 1997. Slowly one of the branches had become dried out, so I began pruning it. At this point only one of the branches remains supple and is showing new light green growth. At the base of the trunk and the moss I recently noticed is is turning white. Istopped cutting the branches back for fear of chopping the whole tree up. Obviously, I am a novice but would like to learn more about my bonsai. I would love to see this tree become healthy again. I've considered trimming the roots back and repotting it or putting it outside in a colder climate. We live in Chicago and are approaching the end of harsh temperatures. As recommended I occasionally water the tree from the top. It is on my kitchen windowsill and it is so dry and thirsty looking that I just splash it with a little water, but a very small amount will just run right out the bottom. It seems that the soil has no capacity to hold or store any water. In the instructions that came with our tree, it was recommended that the "root ball' be kept moist. What does that mean?
HELP!!!!!!!! Save this Juniper.

I received a serrisa snow rose tree for christmas and it was
relatively fine until a few weeks ago upon which it has lost
all of it's leaves. Prior to this point the tree had bloomed
and seemed healthy. I have a gro light on it 6-7 hours a
day at a regular schedule. I water it every 2 days, and
submerge the plant once or twice a week. Am I overwatering?
I need help bad!!!
